About Orienda

Orienda documents Chinese craft as a connected system of materials, techniques, places, objects and makers. The first research clusters cover porcelain, silk and embroidery, lacquerware and cloisonné.

We distinguish institutional sources, maker statements and direct Orienda observations. A page states when fieldwork, specialist review or object photography is still pending instead of presenting desk research as first-hand evidence.

English is the working fact layer. German and Japanese editions publish only after editorial review; they are not automatic translation placeholders.

This first phase is a content and discovery test. There is no public checkout, inventory promise or maker marketplace. Those decisions wait for evidence that readers repeatedly find and use the archive.
