Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen is a porcelain-production centre in Jiangxi whose mines, workshops, kilns, guilds and trade networks formed an unusually complete craft system.
Jingdezhen should be read as a network rather than a single kiln. Raw-material extraction, specialised labour, firing technology, merchant organisations and transport all shaped what the place could make and circulate.
A contemporary “Jingdezhen” mark does not by itself document a workshop or process. Orienda’s later field records will separate city of production, workshop identity and style reference.
